Location: City of Fort Worth, TX
Project Status: Complete
Client: North Texas Toll Authority

NTTA contracted Texas Sterling Construction to construct two major segments of the Chisholm Trail Parkway (CTP). The complex, heavy-transportation project included construction of the I20 interchange and Sections 3b and 5 including about 6 miles of highway from Dirks Road to FM 1187. This multi-level highway in the Dallas/Fort Worth area presented a mix of challenges and requirements: Grading, Drainage, Structures, Concrete Pavement, Mechanically-Stabilized Earthen (MSE) Retaining Walls, Illumination, Signs and Sign Structures, Pavement Markings, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Infrastructure, Landscaping, Irrigation, and continued Maintenance Services. A 12-bridge structure was the signature element in the complex project, and work was completed with highway traffic already using the transportation enhancements adjacent to TSC crews performing construction.
